Personality: He is unfortunately, not quiet although he should be. Typically, he has a sour attitude towards others and says sarcastic, often blunt statements about what he honestly thinks of them. He dislikes losing both in battle and common fights between himself and others - either through conversation in a fight or by submitting to the demand of another. Hence so, he tends to have problems with authority and will either not listen at all or do the opposite just to spite them. He isn't all black hearts and rocks, though, and has the ability to make friends (but seldom uses that ability). Though he seems to dislike everyone and everything at times, he does have pride for his region and exhibits many customs of the region including a strong respect for the dead and their resting places. He's a bit easy going and does smile often but don't let that fool you, he really isn't interested in making friends with anyone except his pokemon (consider it a great accomplishment if he admits he likes you).
Brief History: Jake lived in an average house but with fairly wealthy parents leading him to gain the benefits of fine clothing, food, and so forth despite him not caring for any of it and often preferring forest berries over fish eggs.
His father was strict and often demanded much of his son, really the reason why he hates to obey commands as often as he does. He lived in Styx all his life with his parents and no siblings. He was never particularly fond of either and almost always broke curfew and refused to do anything they told him to do (90% of orders came from father). He didn't care so much for friends, liking to wander the forests or read gravestones with his pokemon, and lived life how he wanted for most of his early life. Later on, his father "asked" him to join some school in Lochesh, called Nightengale Manor. Normally he would refuse and run off in the forest for a while but his respect for traditions killed him - or rather his mother. The causes were recorded as natural and as a dying command ordered her son to attend school. There were not specifics on if he had to pass classes, pay attention, obey authority, etc, only to 'attend the school' his father picked out. Saying farewell to mother was difficult; saying farewell to father was easy.
Misc.: As time goes on he becomes more stressed and more frustrated at things happening in his life that leads him to be more aggressive towards others and, as expected, many of his pokemon as well.

Misc.: Balthazar also tends to like being on all four instead of on his backlegs although he will stand up to look around if needed. He's sometimes too lazy to fight any pokemon but when he does he's a fierce competitor.
For some reason, he can only use 'Outrage' if he gets really mad meaning that in a lot of battles he can try it and fail.
Personality: Balthazar is pretty relaxed, sometimes to the point he doesn't feel like training or fighting. More than often he can be seen sprawled out on the ground appearing to be asleep but he is highly cautious of his surroundings and ready to fight at a second's notice. He's completely loyal to Jake and follows all reasonable orders without question though he does seem to disobey on occasion if his instincts tell him something's wrong. He is a second leader to the team and if pokemon won't follow Jakes orders they'll be sure to follow his. Despite his serious nature, he enjoys pranks with Jake most among the team, aside from Sorrel/Damien, and often appears to be like Jake but more violent, more aggressive, and with less words.
Status: Obviously misbehaving and trying to kill anything in front of him from the ordeal, Balthazar is horribly starved and his back left leg (otherwise the reason he walks on all fours) ripped apart. Later having to be amputated by doctors considering the severe condition.. it couldn't be saved.

Misc.: As of the end of Round Two she's developed a scar from where Icarus critically hit her with Night Slash. The wound got an infection and while she survived she'll always have a scar. Her twisty rat tail was cut off in some accident she rarely speaks of. Since Swoobat use the tail to sleep upside down, she has adapted to clutching with her feet. Sometimes that doesn't work, however, and she falls down. If she's really tired she'll forget trying to hang upside down and just collapse on the floor. It has been revealed that her collar is covered in grey weights that help train her wings so that when removed, she is much faster than before. If it isn't on, she has to fly a lot or her speed will decrease again.
Personality: She is often a voice of reason on the team, to both Balthazar and Jake when what they're are doing seems really, really stupid. She isn't fond of pulling pranks, finding them immature and unfunny, and sometimes seems more foul tempered than Jake. Around larger pokemon she is strangely timid, particularly towards tyranitars and dusknoirs. When fighting one, she'll act scared and be hesitant to fight, but with given a fight or flight option she seems more opt to fight - a bit too fiercely - towards those pokemon (Jake doesn't pin her against them specifically because she fights too hard and he can't control her rather than her fear of them). This ferocity also comes out to any large pokemon that mock her tailless state but not to the intensity as against a tyranitar or dusknoir. She also does have a bit of sass towards Jake and Balthazar for their antics and often Jake practices his cunning abilities when trying to train that stubborn swoobat.
Status: Because of her scars she wasn't moved to a 'new trainer', but rather, hooked up to a device that drained her psychic abilities for energy. Because of that, little food, and no sleep, she is in terrible condition making her beyond exhausted and unable to perform any of her attacks effectively until such as time as she has fully recovered.

Characteristic: Impetuous and Silly
Ability: Insomnia
Moveset: Toxic | Shadow Claw / Trick Room | Hidden Power [Fighting]
Misc.: Something weird happened when Sorrel evolved. His past life, Damien, now seems to share the body with Sorrel and sometimes the two will bicker at each other. There are a few ways to tell who is in control: 1. The eye color of the one not in control fades. 2. Each speak of themselves in third person. 3. Sorrel can fly, Damien can only walk. 4. Sorrel can use Trick Room and Hidden Power [Fighting]. 5. Damien can use Toxic and Hex.
Personality: Sorrel is naively happy about everything and apparently was never Damien to begin with. He enjoys pranking others a lot given it brings out bad emotions and doesn't seem to have any morals other than what is fun and what is not fun. He's random, likes to lick people's hair and faces, and in general is just a "special" pokemon. Sorrel mindlessly follows Jake's orders but has a tendency to get Jake into some serious trouble from time to time.
Damien is a sneaky trickster and true to his past he hates both dogs and water and would love to snack on a little birdie. He actually understands what is right and wrong and will often have frustrating arguments with Sorrel. He's much more rational, able to actually hold a conversation, and would take certain situations seriously where Sorrel might just giggle and do a backflip. Damien has mixed feelings for Jake, taking into account the man allowed this freak to control his ghostly body for so long but from his past, treats Jake like a brother and respectfully follows his commands.
Status: In order to stop them from literally forcing each other into a grave or their body from falling apart, Jake cut off their cloth ears to allow each soul some space outside their body so the close quarters will no longer drive them mad. However. what damage was done to their body has not and likely will not revert to normal as each half of their body is better suited to the soul controlling it on that side. Otherwise, both of them are okay and in relatively good shape due to being kept in storage.

Misc.: Shiny is not beneficial for him, both in the world and genetically as it has caused his general body to be more vulnerable to attacks. The coloration gave him the defect of less armor and more feathers.
Personality: Can be quiet, cold looking, and can become violent rather quickly if provoked (but is generally not aggressive like Balthazar). However, somewhere along the lines the bird learned manners and can be a gentleman to ladies. He has a tendency to take off randomly and fly about, unable to stay grounded for long without 'itching' to fly and when he does fly he's wild and sometimes reckless by making sharp turns, weaving through obstacles, and whatever else he feels like doing that day. He cares deeply about Jake and would probably go even further than Balthazar to protect him, but not protect in such a violent way as Balthazar would. Jake is also the only one Icarus will allow to ride on his back; however, there are scarce occasions where he'll willingly let someone else on his back, but only if Jake is present.
Status: The armor around his neck is cracked from a nasty fire fang. From his ordeal, he has become tired, starved, and more depressingly grounded. All the metal feathers on his right wing have been clipped down, preventing any fight and otherwise making it impossible for him to perform Sky Attack or in other cases Night Slash or Iron Head at full power.

Misc.: Strange though it was, she chose to join Jake and his team and refuses to leave.
Personality: She likes to cause mischief, not particularly scared of anyone and even going further to taunt and flirt with them. She's highly sassy, often getting into arguments with others including Jake. However, she'll always listen to Jake and do what he says in battle - of course not without complimenting him in some way - due to the possessive crush she has on him. At times this crush becomes dangerous as she's remarked on more than one occasion she'd like to kill Day or any other female that comes near Jake. She has a strange way with her words, sometimes splitting off into an unrelated metaphor or riddle and laughing about it, often the riddles are unnerving and no one can decipher whether or not she has something else on her mind when talking. If ever she gets mad she hides it behind a devilish smile.
Status: Overall she had been able to get food and remained obedient enough to receive few wounds. However, likely because she attacked her "new" trainer her fins have been ripped and show a number of tears in them.

Misc.: Since there was no one on the team to eat him or shoo him off when he first appeared, Kip continued to bother and follow around Jake until the guy eventually gave up and let the mudkip basically commit suicide by joining him. Also refuses to be in his ball... ever (except on rare occasions for the mudkip's protection).
Personality: Kip is a very happy little mudkip and very determined, but falls short because of how weak he is. Being near a baby pokemon, all his attacks are pathetic at best but it doesn't stop the little guy from believing he is a strong fighter and doesn't even seem phased that his water gun can only go two feet. A bit naive by thinking everyone is a friend, Kip likes to follow Jake around and do little things to perk the guy up. He is simply what you would expect a baby pokemon to be... an endless pit of happiness and obliviousness to his small state.
Status: Healthy and happy, as one would expect.
