Personality: Quiet, distant, shy(actually scared) of meeting new people and tends to laugh nervously in many situations and slowly back away. Any pokemon or human bigger than him makes the guy very uncomfortable but if you manage to scrape past his paranoia he's a pretty nice guy. Always trying to do the right thing, Ice enjoys playing sometimes but get him talking about bug pokemon and you'll be there for a while. However, 'relaxation' doesn't seem to be a word in his dictionary as Ice is constantly on edge and often flicks his gaze around to make sure no one is following him. If someone is, he and Polpa are pretty good at running.
History:As a kid, Vernon never fit in well with the rest of the children and due to his mixed ethnicity was cruelly outcast from the group. Often he'd try to mingle with other kids in class and sometimes hold a conversation with someone for a while but it wouldn't last too long since unfortunately he was noticeably different. Back at home, his parents and brother live relatively happily together but Vernon never seemed to get over this paranoia there was a monster hiding in his closet.

To help alleviate this fear, he was given a polar cub that would sleep in the closet and freeze any monsters that tried to come out. Since the first night, Vernon loved his little bear and took her with him everywhere. Over the years, having a pokemon helped ease the tension with other people but he still got strange looks and people switched to calling him a 'freak' and avoided his very presence because of the scars he developed getting attacked by a dragon pokemon.

Now, Vernon has taken to calling himself 'Ice' and is hardly ever seen without his trusty Polpa stomping along at his side.

Personality: Calm, cheerful, and bold, Polpa will attack any pokemon or human that threatens her trainer if it means he'll be safe. She doesn't seem too interested in other pokemon, too preoccupied making sure Ice is alright at all times but does enjoy playing games (give her a ball and she'll go wild). Even though she's a complete sweetheart, in a fight she can do some massive damage and if you get too close for too long you might never see day again.
History: Polpa was given to Ice when she was just a cub and he was just a kid. Given that Ice couldn't pronounce 'polar' very well, he spoke 'polpa' and that soon enough became her name. She's always looked after Ice, keeping him company and trying her best to keep him safe when he was attacked by a dragon but has still had difficulty protecting Ice. Since a brief separation, she rarely leaves the boy's side.
